ParticipantHi there!
When I do a search for: blue spectral storm mayan year – all words in the url for that page the actual page does not come up but a ‘tag’ page does: http://lightcenterlove.com/tag/blue-spectral-storm/
Even when I search my own url like this: lightcenterlove blue spectral storm year I STILL just see the tag page.
The page that SHOULD come up is this one: http://lightcenterlove.com/mayan-astrology-year-blue-spectral-storm/
But it is nowhere to be seen
This is happening with all my pages.
Well, actually, many of them aren’t coming up at all even with pretty much all of the words in the url searched. A ‘tag’ page doesn’t even come up. Sometimes my plain old homepage comes up but that’s it: http://www.lightcenterlove.com
I’ve looked at my Jetpack sitemap and all the pages are there.
Not sure what I need to do – but as it is, it’s not lookin’ good if people can’t search for my website and find it
Any help is most welcome – thank you!

ParticipantHi,
Everything is normal, even Google is indexing your tag pages. I will recommend the following steps to improve your indexing in Google,
– Setup Google Webmasters Tools
– Submit your Sitemaps to Google via using this tool
– You may skip TAGS sitemap to submit – But, it will not guarantee that Google will not index your tags.
– You can check, which pages are indexed by Google by putting site: prefix before your site e.g. site:lightcenterlove.com
– I have noticed that Google has also indexed your other pages like http://lightcenterlove.com/product/basic_mayan_astrology_report/Tip:
The main thing is Quality Content. If you have unique and quality content on your blog, than your search engine visibility will increase with the passage of time.
Thanks

ParticipantHi there! Thanks for getting back to me on this and for the details. I did what you said and submitted my sitemap to Google through the Google Console. They all say ‘Pending’ now. I suspect in a few days or a week maybe I’ll see some change on the console? I’ll keep checking on it.
Thanks for the tip re: site:lightcenterlove.com – interesting!
I am so used to my old/original website coming up on the first page all the time (http://www.astrodreamadvisor.com) I doubt this new one will compete even though I am making lots of new, original pages. Curezone.com points at astrodreamadvisor which I think gives it a high rating. Annnnnyway, in case someone else has the same question as me I’ll outline below exactly what I did based on your advice so that it’s all really clear. There were a few roadblocks that I eventually got over
This is a good page telling you how to setup your Google Console (the new name for google webmaster tools): http://www.bruceclay.com/blog/set-up-google-search-console/
Login/setup your Google Console account: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
I had a hard time getting verified – I tried every method and failed several times. THEN, I found that I was uploading the html file to the wrong place. SO, if you choose the ‘recommended’ option which is to download the html file they give you and then upload it to your website THIS is how you do it. Click on the link to download it – save the file somewhere on your computer. Then, go to your cPanel and click on: FILE MANAGER and then Public_html – then click UPLOAD and upload that google html file to your public_html file. Then follow the rest of the instructions to verify your account. Voila!
Next you need to submit your sitemaps to google. Follow these instructions exactly and you’ll be on your way! https://www.wix.com/support/html5/article/submitting-your-sitemap-directly-to-google
Hope that helps!
