It should not be the issue. Page speed and load time depends on several factors. Server optimization is much more important.
Most of the themes and sites are using Google Web Fonts and this should not be impact.
I have checked one of our client blog using Arcane theme and load time is between 2.5 to 3 seconds.

I think you want to set a Static Front Page for your home page. And, you want to have different Page Title and Document Title. Please follow the simple steps.

– Install and Activate Yoast SEO Plugin
– Got to Settings > Reading and set your Static Front Page and Posts Page
– Now, Edit the page you set as Front Page
– You will find Yoast SEO Metabox just below the page content editor
– Click on the title to set your document title – By default it will look like
