    Hi,

    All Youtube videos with links like [MEDIA=youtube]02FkMr21xOA[/MEDIA] do not work in Cantango Pro.
    The Youtube link is shown instead of the video.

    The videos show correctly embedded in the post in the back-office, but not in the final published post.

    When I revert to Cantago Free the videos show.

    That’s an issue with the pro version obviously.

    With Cantango Pro the video is not showing, it is showing the youtube link instead. (see screenshot attached!)

    That’s the same for all the videos on the blog.

    If I reverse back to Cantango Free, the videos show.

    Hello,

    We have tested the YouTube on Contango Pro and it is working fine as shown in attachment.
    I have noticed some errors / warnings in the browser console at your domain. I will suggest the following tips to debug the isssue,

    – Please try to re-insert YouTube URL – I will recommend to paste the YouTube link in the editor Text mode to avoid any markup error.
    – Please deactivate the plugins and rest this post. If it appears normal than re-activate all plugins one by one.

    FYI

    URL Parsing of Videos, Audios etc in the editor content is handled by WordPress core (Not by themes) so it should work properly.

    Hi,

    Re-inserting the link does not work, even in the text editor. Even if it worked, I certainly don’t want to do that for the +100 videos I have on the blog.

    When I deactivate all plugins, it’s the same, no video.

    Videos may be handled by WP as you say, but when I have all the plugins activated and Contango Free, all videos show.
    When I have Twenty Twelve, all videos show…
    When I have Contango Pro, no videos.

    So, what is it?

    I have checked YouTube on Contango Pro Live Demo. It is working fine. Please have a look,

    About Plugins

    There are different scripts in all themes like Twentytwelve, Contango Free vs Contango Pro. So it might be possible that there is some conflict between scripts of Plugins and Contango Pro.

    We may have following methods to debug the issue,

    1. You may deactivate / activate plugins one by one instead of all at once. It may help you to find the exact one.
    2. Have you made any customization to the theme ? If yes than please take backup of your version and switched back to the original Contango Pro to find the issue.
    3. Upgrade WordPress to the latest version if it is not already

    I guess, try to deactive shareaholic plugin. It is also causing your blog too slow to load.
    I am observing following errors in browser console,

    Hi,

    As I said before no video showing with all plugins disabled in Cantango Pro.
    That’s a mystery.

    Anyways, I had to install the YouTube embed plugin for it to work.
