Is it possible to use the slide funktion (in Prana pro) to make this header change between i.e. 3 different headers, when my blog is on my front page? http://www.familieflow.dk/
Best regards, NadiaAugust 17, 2013 at 9:46 am #906adminParticipantHi Nadia,
Hopefully doing well!Is it possible to use the slide funktion (in Prana pro) to make this header change between i.e. 3 different headers, when my blog is on my front page?
Currently, it is not supported in Prana pro to have Slider as Header or Different Headers.
For Our Future Benchmark
This question is for our future benchmark.
Do you want Slider as header ?
or
Do you want different header display (random) on page reload ?Thanks

Thank you for the answer. I’m was hoping for a feature like on this FrontPage: http://bechange.dk/ – If it will be possible in Prana pro some day, I will be delighted. Its a beautiful theme.

August 17, 2013 at 11:44 am #908adminParticipantHi Nadia,
I am observing the following things on your mentioned site,
Be Change Header
It is fixed
A Slider Under The Menu
If you are talking about this slider than this feature is available in the Prna Pro. Please see Slider under the Menu in the Prana Pro Demo.
Thanks!August 17, 2013 at 3:55 pm #909AnonymousGuestHi once Again. Thank you for your help. So far I realised your point about the fixed header og i have now
– prepared a new header (for above the menu)
– prepared 3 new Pictures (.jpg) for the “slideshow” to be below the menu
made a fixes FrontPage (that is not the blog)
– put my slide widget “Prana flexslider” in the front page “sidebar” (under dashboard > widgets)
What i cant figure out now is how to attach the .jpgs to the flexslider widget.
I have uploadet the prepared Pictures ind the media library
So: When I go to add new slides (I assume thats what I have to do?) , what do I then do?August 17, 2013 at 7:45 pm #910adminParticipantHi Nadia,
– prepared a new header (for above the menu)
Great! you can set your header via “Appearance > Header” – This is your Site Header
– prepared 3 new Pictures (.jpg) for the “slideshow” to be below the menu made a fixes FrontPage (that is not the blog)
Concept is absolutely correct. Ideal size for Slider image is 940 x 370
– put my slide widget “Prana flexslider” in the front page “sidebar” (under dashboard > widgets)
Absolutely correct.
When I go to add new slides (I assume thats what I have to do?) , what do I then do?
Please follow the simple steps
– Go to Slides > Add New
– Give the title of your slide – It will treat as slide caption.
– Click on “Set featured image” to upload your slide image. So, you can create unlimited sliders by repeating these steps.

August 18, 2013 at 11:23 pm #911AnonymousGuestHi and thank you once Again. All advice has been helpfull and I’m allmost there. I JUST want to customize the order in wich the slides are shown in the Flex slider. So, in the Flex slider widget, what – precisely – shall I write in the “Slide IDs separated by commas” box? I have ofcause tried, but it doesn’t work, so I must not understand it correct. There do I find the correct “slide ID”?

You have set an awesome Slider at your website, and i really like the cool scheme selected by you. It is really a beautiful example of Prana. Congrats!
I JUST want to customize the order in which the slides are shown in the Flex slider.
Order can easily be controlled via,
– Select Custom Sort in the Slider Widget
– Give the Slide ID’s separated by commas in the order you want. There do I find the correct “slide ID”?

How do I get the 1.4 installed?
Also i’m wondering what i’m doing wrong getting my flavocon right. Do you have a kind of tutorial? And what is the proper (max) size?
August 20, 2013 at 1:09 pm #916adminParticipantHello,
How do I get the 1.4 installed?
Simply go to your members area and download Prana 1.4. Following tutorial will be helpful to you about upgrading the theme,
http://designorbital.com/community/threads/how-to-upgrade-a-wordpress-theme.25/
Also i’m wondering what i’m doing wrong getting my flavocon right
If you are talking about Favicon than it can easily be manged via,
Go to Appearance > Prana Options > General Settings
And what is the proper (max) size?
Appropriate Size: Specify a favicon for your site. Accepted size: 16×16. Accepted formats: .ico, .png, .gif
Make sure you have taken backup of your old files, if you have made any customization to them.
Enjoy!
August 27, 2013 at 2:58 pm #917AnonymousGuestHi once again,
I still have some trouble getting my flavicon right. I’ve converted it into both .png and .gif (16×16 both times), uploadet them and still it won’t show. Is there a checkbox I’ve missed or something? Any advice is apreciated! It must be something rigth in front of me. Because it seems easy enough (except that it isn’t working…)
Best regards, Nadia
August 27, 2013 at 3:32 pm #918adminParticipantHi Nadia,
Try refresh your browser after clearing cache / history.
Why not to convert your PNG favicon to ICO format with the following powerful tool which is free and awesome, It will optimize the size of Favicon as well.
Thanks!
August 28, 2013 at 3:51 pm #919AnonymousGuestIt worked!! Perfect. Thank you ONCE Again
