Theme generating URLs of image names

Hello,

since i’m using Anemone, URLs corresponding to my image names are generated.

For example, on my page https://unterwegs-reiseblog.de/chateau-d-if/ is an image with the name “chateau-d-if-turm.jpg”. So there exists the URL https://unterwegs-reiseblog.de/chateau-d-if/chateau-d-if-turm/ with some links and lightbox links in it which seems not working correct.

Now Google starts indexing these pages.

How can i disable this function, i don’t want to have these URLs.

Hi Simon,

These URLs relates to the attachments in your Media Library. WordPress has attachment page of the every image in the Media Library. These can be helpful in driving search engine traffic if you are using sensible (SEO) names of your images.

You can disable them if you are using Yoast SEO plugin. Just follow the simple steps,

Go to SEO > Advanced > Permalinks
Redirect attachment URLs to parent post URL.

OR, you can find alternative plugin by searching in Google like “attachment pages redirect plugin”
