Getting Started
First off, thanks for your interest in Wedding! We truly appreciate the opportunity to share our themes with you. If you have any questions or run into any trouble, please visit us on the Wedding Support Forum. We’ll get you fixed up!
Upon activating your theme, you should visit Appearance → Customize to setup the basic theme settings such as your logo, header, background and social links. Detailed instructions and tips can be found below.
Front Page Setup
- Create or Edit a page, and assign it to the Front Page template from the Page Attributes module:
- Go to Settings → Reading and set “Front page displays” to “A static page”.
- Select the page you just assigned the Front Page template to as “Front page” and then choose another page as “Posts page” to serve your blog posts.
- Make sure you add a featured image (1920×750) to your front page. This image will replace default custom header of theme.

Wedding Date Setup at Front Page- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options
- Enter your desired text in the “Wedding Card Caption” and “Wedding Card Date” fields
- Save Changes
Bride & Bridegroom Setup at Front Page
- Create or Edit a page to display information of Bride
- Make sure you add a featured image of Bride
- Repeat the above two steps to create a page of Bridegroom
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options
- Select the Bride and Bridegroom page from the drop down menus
- Save Changes
Counter Setup at Front Page
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options
- Enter your desired text in the “Counter Caption”.
- Select the “Counter Date”, “Counter Month” and “Counter Year” from the drop down menus
- Save Changes
Social Media Icons at Footer
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options
- Enter your social media URLs in the respective fields
- Save Changes
Post & Page Featured Image Header Setup
- Make sure you add a featured image with the minimum dimension (1920×750) in pixels to your page or post to replace default custom header of theme.
Theme Layout
You can use Wedding in default wide layout or personalize it with beautiful backgrounds by using the boxed layout.
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options
- You may select a Wide or Box option from the Theme Layout drop down.
Wide Layout
Wedding theme will cover the complete viewport in the wide layout mode. Background color or image will not be visible in this option.
Box Layout
Wedding theme will wrap the content in a box. This option is ideal for you if you wish to use background color or image for your website.
Blog Layout
Wedding is powered with three blog layouts. You can choose the following layouts easily.
- Go to Appearance → Customize → Theme Options
- You may select a Content-Sidebar, Sidebar-Content or Content option from the Blog Layout drop down.
Bridesmaids Page Setup
- Create or edit a page, and assign it to the “Bridesmaid Page” template from the Page Attributes module. This placeholder page will be used to display content and thumbnail image for each of the child pages (aka sub-pages) you’ll create next.
- Create additional pages that you want to show on the “Bridesmaid” page you’ve just created above. In the Page Attributes box on each child page, select the “Bridesmaid” page you created above as the parent page.
- For the best result, make sure you add a featured images to each child page, so it’ll be displayed along with the content.
Groomsmen Page Setup
- Create or edit a page, and assign it to the “Groomsmen Page” template from the Page Attributes module. This placeholder page will be used to display content and thumbnail image for each of the child pages (aka sub-pages) you’ll create next.
- Create additional pages that you want to show on the “Groomsmen” page you’ve just created above. In the Page Attributes box on each child page, select the “Groomsmen” page you created above as the parent page.
- For the best result, make sure you add a featured images to each child page, so it’ll be displayed along with the content.
Custom Menus
Wedding allows you to have a custom menu in the theme’s header. It can be setup up by going to Appearance → Menus.
Full Width Template
Wedding comes with a full-width page template to put the focus on your content.
Widget Areas
Wedding comes with five widget areas – one in the right or left sidebar, and up to four in the footer. The footer widget areas will activate once you drag widgets to them in Appearance → Widgets.
