Content for posts page

I have a static home page set and am using a featured image on that page. My posts page is now showing the home page featured image and title “Home” as well. This appears to be a bug as far as I can tell.

Behaviour of Static Home Page and Posts Page are different from normal pages (especially posts page which is merely a placeholder to show the posts). We always recommend to use Featured Content for the Featured Area of blog whether it delivers the static front page or normal blog page.
