New page with table index

Hi, I’m developing a page to query for published posts to view them as an index. I want to use the theme table design to ensure it works propely, but I’m not sure how to do that. There is no place that I can find to insert or customize a table in order for me to copy it’s code or to assign the table the appropriate classes for CSS. Hope you can help and guide me.

Fore simple index, like book index, i will recommend to use simple DIV based structure that will be responsive and easy to implement.
