Post Carousel tag eliminates posts from Recent Posts

I have another bit of an issue with the post carousel, but this time it’s something that affects the blog itself.

The tag I establish to include posts in the carousel is eliminating them from the front page display of recent posts. Is there a way to fix this? A patch in the code perhaps? Or do I need to wait for an update?

Actually, this is not a bug or issue. This logic is implemented by core Jetpack.
Anyway, i am going to forward this question to our developers as well, so they might be able to find a way to filter this logic.
