Hmmm… this is most bizarre! I disabled everything and it still didn’t work. Then I entered the most recent post and realized I could scroll in there either. Entered another post and all was fine. So I checked the post in the admin interface but couldn’t find anything. So I copied the text into a text editor and deleted the post, created a new one, copied and pasted the content into it and published the new post.
Now all is fine. It must have been something in the post that WordPress didn’t like.
rknudsenParticipantStupid me – I was looking at the readme of the free version. Very sorry.
rknudsenParticipantI just answered part 1 of my question: If you select Standard format, it will NOT show the slider in the blog overview. Switch the format to Gallery and it will. I guess we need some documentation here
rknudsenParticipantI tried that – actually I knew from another theme how to do it – and it works. Just upload the pictures into the post and close the upload dialog via the “X” in the upper right corner.
But: You guys at DesignOrbital manage to show the slider also in the blog post overview (http://themes.designorbital.com/contango/blog/) When I setup a slider in a post, it won’t show in the overview Is there a setting I miss?
Another question: I love to take – and show – Instagram like square pictures. When I put them in a slider they will have the right width, but the height is reduced to fit a “normal” landscape picture. Is there anything I can do about that? Thanks. Reiner
P.S.: Arjun – I like your site. Very clean and simple.
rknudsenParticipantI can not say how thankful I am. Steve offered his help and I gave him admin panel and FTP access to my website. It took him some time but he could figure out the problem.
Quote:After 1 hour of investigation. I have found that your HOSTING is denying our update notification script. I have disabled it manually in your theme. It is working properly now….
You may ask them to fix it or there might be some extra settings at your HOSTING account. How incredible is that? I don’t quite understand (yet) what the actual issue was, but I can confirm it is working perfectly now. So what ever I will have to check with my provider, I will tell them
THANKS STEVE! Appreciate your fantastic support.

rknudsenParticipantHey admin, well, I exactly did that. Yet pages won’t load.
I also set up a pure and clean install of WordPress 3.5.1. Nothing installed, no posts or pages. I can now activate the theme, but when I want to see my dashboard, it will start loading again and loads and loads and loads. Finally it does show an error message:

Please help me here! Are there folders where I need to change permissions? Is there anything that I have to keep in mind for or after installation? -
